Paris

Now we’re back from Paris and we had the most wonderful time. The weather forecast had threatened with rain and 13 degrees the whole weekend but when we got there it was sunny and warmish (around 20 degrees). It only rained sunday afternoon! I’m pretty obsessed with weather, I worry about it, get annoyed with it and dream about it most of the time (I like it hot and sunny and feel utterly cheated if a summer goes by without it), so needless to say – Sweden isn’t the best country to be living in then.. We’ll move as soon as an opportunity arrives ;) But, back to Paris – we had planned on just taking it easy, strolling around, visiting boulangeries and patisseries and soaking up the atmosphere of the city, and that’s just what we did. We did manage to visit a few of Paris’ landmarks too though, like La Tour Eiffel, Notre Dame (Andreas favourite) and Museé D’Orsay (in which I, unfortunately, was feeling unwell most of the time). I could still appreciate the works of the great impressionists though, which was the main reason to why we went there. I bought a beautiful print by Edgar Degas called “Le foyer de la danse à l’Opéra de la rue Le Peletier“. I’m usually a chocolate person, but I do love fruits and berries also, so while in Paris I had three tartelettes aux fraise.. so yummy (although I couldn’t resist a chocolate one as well!) Here are some pictures of our trip, if you’d like to see..

P.s. I also took the time to visit some French pharmacies (I’m a skincare/cosmetics junkie..) and found some interesting products (thisthisthisthis and this) which I’m eager to try out!
